I have been asked if you can use car sat navs when driving in France, and to be quite honest, I didn’t know the answer. However I have found that the French Embassy have told the AA that Radar detectors are illegal:

With Satellite Navigations systems becoming ever more popular, it would appear that drivers get in their vehicles, turn on their sat navs, then take their brains out and put them in a safe place.
